Ken McCord

Recognized as a social entrepreneur, Ken McCord is an influencing designer who leads with a passion for the world. Ken has the proven ability to lead people and teams; a proven expertise in innovative planning and execution skills with successful experience in the areas of communication, people, product management, recruiting, sourcing, crisis management, process controls development, source relations, and customer service. Ken McCord is fluent in Portuguese and proficient in Spanish.
Ken McCord has served as the President of N-Hance Wood Renewal in San Francisco, California since 2005. The company takes great pride in its innovative approach to restoring wood floors and cabinets to their original beauty. Ken has served as a missionary and researcher for First Baptist Church of West Hollywood and Hollywood Christian School. In partnership with 17 churches, several companies and individual supporters, Ken was able to complete a 4-year faith based urban development project. The project involved the full time immersion of his family into the San Francisco Mission District where they have assessed the divide between the church and the city.
While studying the historical and sociological context of cities in relation to business, politics and religion, Ken has successfully started a church, partnered in the restoration of a congregation of more than 130 years of history, served alongside existing organizations, established a local non-profit, birthed a band of communities of faith, and established Urbaneyes (a learning institute for non-urban dwellers, hosting over 100 short and long-term interns). The work has been entrepreneurial in nature, requiring fundraising, leadership, innovation, recruiting and development of people and resources.
Ken has extensive experience in directing student life among students. He was hired to pastor and lead the restructure of student life for a 1200 member church and school of 750 students. He was responsible for leadership, recruiting, training and administration of the organization. Ken led a paid staff and 50+ non-paid leaders, programming and planning of 4 weekly events, and active shepherding and counseling to the students and families on a weekly basis. He successfully led the start-up of a Youth Camping organization that served over 800 students each summer, raised in excess of $200,000 for camps, mission projects and the development of a student center. Ken is an experienced communicator to crowds in excess of 800 in attendance and has participated in youth culture and marketplace consulting.
Ken is cheerfully married with three children. He was raised in Brazil and spent the first eight years of his life in South America. Ken McCord is an ordained Minister of the Gospel. Ken invests in his community as a youth soccer coach and serves as a Board Member of Reimagine, a faith-based San Francisco non-profit organization. Ken graduated from Liberty University in 1994 with a Bachelors Degree in General and Biblical Studies. He attended Levi University, where he received training in diversity, leadership, and ethics.
