Jim Flood


Jim Flood is a financial, real estate and human resources veteran with more than 25 years of professional experience working with sales teams, residential home builders, realtors, executive and non-profit groups.  Currently, Jim is the President of The Jim Flood Group overseeing sales of his south Florida-based office.  Jim began his career in financial services in 1983 within the branch banking arena.  In 1991 with a drive for growth and a love of the sunshine state, Jim opened the first Florida office for HomeBanc Mortgage Corp.

Under Jim's leadership, HomeBanc grew to be the fastest growing lender in Florida with over 250 Associates in South Florida.  In addition to managing all South Florida sales, he managed over 100 builder and realtor alliance partnerships statewide.  Additionally, he led many corporate wide initiatives on leadership in the workplace and has been a mentor to countless employees at all levels and as a result HomeBanc was ranked #14 on Fortune magazine’s Best places to work list.

Since 1994, Jim Flood has been dedicated to work-life balance.  An early pioneer of this concept, Jim strongly believes that this balance holds the key to personal and professional success as well as corporate survival.  Previously, serving as Homebanc Mortgage Corporation's Regional President, Jim consistently inspired and encouraged all of his associates to live a life that was balanced and productive in all facets of life.  His support of this message, led to unprecedented success with the financial services industry for over 15 years.  Jim created, implemented and managed innovative training programs for over 300 associates and executives in his 15 year career in South Florida.  In addition, Jim led a wide array of seminars and workshops within the real estate, consulting, and community sectors.  A sought-after keynote speaker for numerous corporate, non-profit and community organizations, Jim is known for his powerful message and inspirational delivery.  
          
In 2008, Jim founded The Jim Flood Group to share his expertise with a multitude of industries.  Jim specializes in his ability to identify the needs of a client, manage a project to completion and deliver on time. He is a sought after speaker to local and regional audiences on his newest topic, Life Balance Solutions.  This innovative program provides each attendee with a comprehensive approach and customized plan to lead a healthier, more productive life, both in the workplace and at home.
Raised in South Florida, Jim attended Broward community College, Winthrop University and Florida Atlantic University.  He has been featured in numerous regional and national publications and often appears as a subject matter expert for housing, recruiting, sales and leadership stories in a variety of mediums. 

A resident of South Florida, Flood lives with Susan, his wife of 25 years, and his daughters Brandy and Amanda.  He is active in a variety of charities, including Habitat for Humanity, American Cancer Society, The Wayne Barton Study Center and St. Andrews Catholic Church.  Jim’s journey of self-discovery and his commitment to help others inspired him to write a book and develop workshops and seminars.  He is an accomplished speaker, life coach, and business consultant. Jim is available to work with human resources departments, divisions, or entire companies to help employees find balance so they can perform at their best…and really enjoy their work.
