Jack Hakimian


Jack Hakimian is half Armenian and West African from Liberia.  He is a dynamic speaker, cultural researcher, missionary pastor and racial bridge builder that connects Urban Popular culture (Including but not limited to Hip Hop, Race/ Ethnicity, class, socio-cultural concerns, The Black Church, & The Emergent Urban Church) with daily life struggles, images and ideas that shape our lives.  He makes great use of the Scriptures and classical hermeneutic approach that pulls from the historical, cultural and grammatical context of the Bible.  

Jack Hakimian has a Master's Degree in Cross Cultural studies from Fuller Theological Seminary (Pasadena, Ca) and a Bachelors Degree in Biblical Studies and Pastoral Ministry from Life Pacific College (San Dimas, Ca).  He has been an active pastor, mentor, entrepreneur and content management web developer who sees the link between theology, culture , church and media as an integrated means of bringing social and spiritual empowerment to families, churches, cities, work environments, academic institutions, government and most importantly the streets.  

Jack Hakimian was radically changed over 16 years ago while servings time in Los Angeles County Jail as a street gang member of the "Piru Bloods.”  So when he speaks on these wide variety of topics, he speaks from the heart filled with the hope that any person or group can change by sound principles and spiritual empowerment.
