Hansel Luis

Mr. Luis has nearly ten years experience in the aftermarket services for PC and notebook spare parts market.  Beginning in 1998, Mr. Luis joined OnQuest Technologies, a sister company in the network and managed services market, in the role of administrative assistant.  In this role, he performed multiple operational tasks including product management, inventory management, sales support, and returns management.  Major accomplishments include being part of a 7 person organization and assisting it grow to over 15 during the first year and assisting in the management of major corporate accounts such as Discovery Channel, MTV Latin America Division, and Carnival Cruise Lines.

In late 1999, OnQuest Technologies changed focus and became an internet company developing specialized online applications for e-commerce and inventory management.  Mr. Luis had the opportunity under the new role of graphic designer to develop for Micro Product Distributors (MPD) the first online platform known as OnQuest WebTools that was specially catered for the computer spare parts industry.  During the next three years, Mr. Luis’ role evolved from graphic designer to project manager by the end of 2001.  Major accomplishments include developing Micro Product Distributors online platform, managing directly relationships with Konica-Minolta for SAP/EDI implementations and OZ Wheels for their first dealers’ only e-commerce platform.  During the final six months of operation of OnQuest Technologies, Mr. Luis was able to bill almost 60% more than the previous twelve months and transition the remaining client relationships to other solution providers effectively.

Beginning in 2002, Mr. Luis became part of the Micro Product Distributors team as Director of Sales & Services.  His responsibility included managing three separate sales teams with extensive experience in the market place and managing the notebook depot repair services.  During his tenure as Director, major accounts were established including Best Buy, Radio Shack, Circuit City, and Assurant Solutions for computer spare parts fulfillment.  A major notebook repair contract was secured with Equant (later becoming Orange) for 1,000+ units’ monthly generating revenues over $2.5M annually.

In early 2005, Mr. Luis role changed to Vice President of Operations.  His responsibilities included the oversight of all major clients and the task of optimizing the entire operational process.  A redesign of MPD’s internal .Net platform ERP system began with the objective of making it a more robust modular platform that is capable of incorporating into multiple accounting system platforms such as Microsoft Dynamics, MAS500, or other SQL based products.  MPD Order Tracking System (MOTS) incorporated new modules for inventory management, product repair tracking, warehouse management, reporting tools, updated whole unit depot repair module, and a new in-home labor management system.  These operational processes improved efficiencies in some areas by 65%.

In his current role as President, Mr. Luis continues to oversee all operational activities, business development, and assist in the management of all key client relationships.    He has contributed significantly to the reputation of Micro Product Distributors as a reliable source of computer spare parts and services that demonstrates the importance of managing their client relationships ethically and providing a healthy work environment for all of its employees.
